Collector Note: This silhouette has a bit of iconic sheen to it, thanks to Supreme revisiting the North Face Trans Antarctic Expedition- but is mostly forgotten amidst more popular and wearable TNF styles.
I always appreciated the absurdly large, foldable shawl collar designed to keep out below freezing wind gusts. Design that takes place within a bubble of pure mountain-side function yields the most exciting pieces. That collar detail, along with the diagonal chest pocket, make this piece just left field enough in execution to elevate it beyond the ho-hum uniform regularity of the typical North Face Denali jackets half of America pulls out once Fall hits.
